The engineering link

Engineering services have been at the heart of Porsche activity since the beginning. Actually, the Porsche company was setup in the 30’s as a design office, producing designs and prototypes for the likes of Auto-Union, Wanderer, Cisitalia, the German Military, etc. The Beetle was certainly the most famous and influential.

Only after WWII, did they start producing cars under their name, but the engineering contract work always continued, sometimes in the shadows, sometimes with more public results.

Along the way, this activity was spun-off (as well as Consultancy Services too), while still being part of the Porsche Holding group. They have their own corporate identity, their magazine and their advertising, always with Porsche trademark subtlety and sense of irony…
